Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants.
more details ...
The seeds of 20 plant species belonging to Papilionaceae were studied for their fatty acid and mineral compositions. The fat and protein contents ranged from 2–30% and 21–45% respectively. The seed oils were found rich in C-18 unsaturated acid (40.5–77.2%).
