By means of chemical analysis and gas chromatography and liquid chromatography amino acid analyzer, the chemical constituents of seeds of Dipteronia sinensis Olive. native to China have been studied, the following results showed that oil content of seeds is 29. 14%, its physical and chemical constent such as refractiveindes (20℃) is 1.4732, sapnifieation value is 178. 70, acid value is 6.90. The oil is composed of oil acid (36.7%), linoleic acid (24.2%),erucic acid (17.8%), arachidic oil acid (7.2%), linolenicacid (2.8%), palmific acid (6.7%), arachidic acid (3.0%), stearic acid (1. 5%) and a few palmitoleic, 16-C-2-alkem, beneic acid. The protein content is 29. 16%, it is composed of hydrolytic amino acid (22.84%), free amino acid (0.425%) and 18 kinds of amino acids are involued. The content of suggar have been identified with fructose (0.698%), glucose (0.91%), saccharose (2.74%) starch (8.55%) and cellulose (2.25%). Theash and dry substance content are 5. 37% and 92.10%.
