Abstract

In this paper,the fally acid compositions of acorn oils of 15 deciduous oaks have been examined systematically by gas chromatography. According to the results of examination, it is ascertained that these oils contain 7 kinds of fatty acids in which the oleic acid, linoleic acid and palm is I oleic acid are the main constituents. The characteristics of such chemical constituents are found to be consistent with the morphological characters of the deciduous oaks. It is also noliceable that the fatty acids composiltion in quantity of Q. aliena BL. is quite different from others
