Abstract

Amygdalus pedunculatus Pall. is a new kind of desert oil-bearing tree.The fatty acid composition of Amygdalus pedunculatus Pall.seed oil was analyzed by GC-MS. The results showed that the oil content of Amygdalus pedunculatus Pall.kernel was over 55%.Seven fatty acids were identified in the oil,which were palmitic acid,palmitoleic acid,oleic acid,linoleic acid,linolenic acid,eicosanoic acid and erucic acid.The content of erucic acid was only 0.8%,the unsaturated fatty acids was up to 98.1%.The ratio of monounsaturated fatty acids to polyunsaturated fatty acids was similar to that of the olive oil.The Amygdalus pedunculatus Pall.seed oil was a kind of high quality edible oil,and worthy of further exploiting.
