Abstract [Objective] The oil-bearing rate and fatty acid main components in Lindera communis seed in Tengchong County,Yunnan Province was analyzed,which will provide basis for development and utilization. [Method]The crude fat and fatty acid in five samples of Lindera communis seed was extracted and analyzed. [Result]The experiments showed that,the average oil-bearing rate is 50. 2%; Lindera communis seed includes 12 fatty acids,saturated fatty acids accounting for 59. 60%,unsaturated fatty acid accounting for 39. 52%. [Conclusion]Tengchong Lindera communis seed oil has edible oil and biodiesel development value,but is not suitable for direct use as edible oil.
