:In this paper,Hibiscus trionum L. seed oil was extracted by soxhlet method and its common physical-chemical properties were studied,and its fatty acids composition were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The result showed that the extraction ratio is 16 %. The refractive index of the seed oil is 1.4741,the iodine value is 126.9gI/100g,the acid value is 6.72mg(KOH)/g,the saponification value is 185. 1mg(KOH)/g. The 10 fatty acids are identified in Hibiscus trionum L. seed oil,the main fatty acids are linoleic acid(63.61%),hexadecanoic acid(16.72%),oleic acid(12.30%),stearic acid(2.23%) and the total content of the unsaturated fatty acids is 79.11%.
