Abstract

The composition of Styrax tonkinesis seeds and seeds-oil were analyzed.The seeds contain 58.60% oil,9.35% protein,2.37% ash.The amino acids compositions of the seeds were determined.Ten fatty acids were identified in Styrax tonkinesis seed-oils.Approximately 90% of the fatty acids were unsaturated with oleic acid 29.64%,linoleic acid 52.65% and linolenic acid 6.29%.The refractive index of the seed-oil,nd20=1.4967,reality density=0.9468,the saponification value=165.32,acid value=1.16,iodine number=125.54.
