Abstract

The fatty acids in seeds of Anacardium occidentale L.were extracted by Soxhlet extraction were identified by GC-MS after been esterified to discuss the feasibility of analyzing the fatty acids in seeds of Anacardium occidentale L.by GC-MS.The results showed that 16 compounds were isolated and identified,which was 99.84% of the total fatty acids.The composition of fatty acids in seeds of Macadamia spp.included 9-octadecenoic acids(38.02%),9,12-octadecadienoic acid(39.66%),palmitic acid(6.45%),9-hexadecenoic acid(3.13%),octadecanoic acid(3.09%),and linolenic acid(4.34%).
