Abstract

This paper analyzes the oil constituents of the seeds of Torreya grandis Forta., native tree of our country. The results obtained are as follows: 1. The Torreya grandis Fort, kernel contains 54.39% of oil. Its oil content decreases after one year's storage. The seed kernel of Torreya grandis Var. dielsii Hu contains 42.61% of oil. 2. Both acid value and peroxidized value of cultivated seeds after a year's storage and the fresh wild seeds are very high. 3. The unsaturated fatty acid in Torreya grandis Fort.oil reaches about 78.44%, and the unsaturated fatty acid in the seeds of the wild Torreya grandis Var. dielsii Hu is about 77.9%.
