Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The seeds of 4 raspberry varieties and 4 blackberry varieties and their oil were studied Oil yield form the seeds averaged 8.81%. Unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) accounted for 91%~98% of the total and the predominant component was linoleic acid (C_ 18:2), accounting for 52%~66% of the total, depending on the variety. The content of linolenic acid (C_ 18:3)in the raspberry seeds ranged from 28% to 36%. The seed oil was found to be rich in tocopherols, which contain α, γ and δ types. The contents of tocopherols varied from 89 to 131 mg/100 g. The content of biologically active vitamin E was 89~131 mg/100 g.
