Abstract The nutrient components of the seed of Tutcheria championi Nakai were analyzed and determined by GC-MS. The results showed that content of water is 12%, crude protein is 4.94% crude fatty acids is 50.29%. The main compounds of seed oil were identified as hexadecanoic acid(15.44%), 9-octadecenoic acid(23.27%), stearate(4.54%), oxiraneoctanoic acid, 3-octyl-, methyl ester, trans-(7.23%), oxiraneoctanoic acid, 3-octyl-, methyl ester(5.21%), oxiraneoctanoic acid, 3-octyl-, methyl ester, cis-(6.23%) etc. The results provided a scientific basis for further exploitation and utilization of the seed of T. championi.
