In order to understand the development and utilization value of rose seeds,the crude oil extracted from seeds of Rosa damascena Mill and Rosa setata Rolfe×Rosa rugosa Thunb was studied.The results showed that the oil content of seeds respectively accounted for 9.06% and 8.51%.The seeds oil contained 91.97% and 88.9% of unsaturated fatty.Linoleic acid was dominat;the content of linoleic acid respectively accounted for 52.95% and 50.44% of the total fatty acids.Rose seeds had a high oil content with good quality,so the rose seeds oil should be deve-loped and utilized well.
