Abstract In this paper, Sophora viciifolia seed oil was extrcted with ether. Hydrolyzed and esterified with potassium hydroxide and methanol.Afrter esterification the oil was determined by means of GC-MS More than50 peaks were separated and twenty-six components representing 97.50% of the oil were identified. The main fatty acid, Palmitic acid, Linoleic acid, Oleic acid, Stearic acid relative contents were respectively 13.741%, 68.859%, 9.047% and 4.148%. Four kinds of unsaturated fatty acid relative content is total 77.96%, seventeen kinds of saturated fatty acid relative content is total 20.40%. There are no reported about oddnumber carbonatomy acid and five kinds of phytosterol.
