Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The fatty acids from the seeds of Raphanus sativus were extracted with petroleum ether by Soxlet extraction. The extracted fatty acids were esterified and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Twelve fatty acids were detected and identified, amounting to 99.32% of the total fatty acids, mainly including 13-docosenoic acid (32.47%), 9-octadecenoic acid (29.07%), 9,12-octadecadienoic acid (Z,Z) (9.45%), 9,12,15-octadecatrienoic acid (8.41%), hexadecanoic acid (4.31%), and octadecanoic acid (2.08%). The saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids were 9.25% and 90.07% in amount, respectively.
