The paper aimed to analyze fatty acids composition in seed oil of Hibiscus manihot L. [Method] The seed of Hibiscus manihot L. was extracted by Soxhlet extraction. The fatty acids in the oil were esterified by sodium hydroxide-methanol and then analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). [Result] 6 fatty acids were identified in the seed of Hibiscus manihot L. and the percentage of unsaturated fatty acids was 68.91%. [Conclusion] The main components were unsaturated fatty acids in seed of Hibiscus manihot L.
