Abstract

In order to find out the nutrients and the utilization value of Polygonatum sibiricum Red.,we measured the three major components,crude starch,crude fat,crude protein,of Polygonatum sibiricum seeds.The fatty acids component was analyzed by Gas Chromatography and the amino acid component was analyzed by Auto-Amino Acid Analyzer.The results showed that crude faecula(73.70%) was the main content;the content of crude fat(10.74%) was higher than that of grain crops,and the content of crude protein(8.21%) was lesser.The unsaturated fatty acid(89.52%) was the main content in the crude fat,and the content of linoleic acid was 49.77% which needed by human;all kinds of amino acid were detected and the content of Met,Lys and Ile were high than that in other normal crops such as Triticum aestivum and Zea mays.Those results indicate that Polygonatum sibiricum seeds have a great nutritional value,and have great potential and broad development prospects on food and health care.
