Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract Kenaf seed oil is a typical kind of plant oil with oleic acid and linoleic acid.In the study, two high-linoleic-acid cultivars were used to analyze fatty acid components in seed oil by gas chromatography. Then, linoleic acid in kenaf-seed oil is enriched by the method of urea adduction, and the optimization parameters for linoleic acid enrichment were determined through L9(34) orthogonal experiment. Results: The seed oil of kenaf "Jinguang No.1" contains palmitic acid 17.31%,stearic acid 1.67%,oleic acid 28.13%,linoleic acid 51.81%,and linolenic acid 1.09%;while the seed oil of kenaf "Fuhong 952" contains palmitic acid 20.51%,stearic acid 2.86%,oleic acid 28.72%,linoleic acid 47.20%,and linolenic acid 0.72%.The optimal conditions for linoleic acid enrichment are as follows: Mfatty acid∶Murea∶Vethanol=1∶2∶8,and crystallization for 12 h under 0 ℃.The amount of linoleic acid is up to 83.7% after the enrichment and the yield rate is 56.4%.So the enrichment target is attained on the whole. This study provides a good working basis for the development and industrialization of health care kenaf seed oil.
