Abstract

The fatty acid in seed oil of Oenothera littaralis Schlect were determined by a method of capillary GC. The results showed: The major components of fatty acid in seed oil were unsaturated acid, especially the relative contents of linoleic acid is the highest, about 80.12%. And it contains #gamma#-linolenic acid. Besides, the contents of fatty acids in the oil samples from seeds of two different habitat, two kinds of growing period and three different maturation phase were analyzed comparatively. It furnished scientific evidence for the exploitation and utilization of O. littoralis Schlelt.
