Abstract

For the purpose of understanding the resource of Physic nut,thus providing technological preparation for the largescale establishment of the oilenergy forest of Physic nut in Guizhou province,a series of studies on Physic nut were conducted,including its distribution,resource volume,content of crude fat,fatty acid compositions.Result of the study showed that physic nut in Guizhou was sporadically distributed in countryside around Nanpanjiang and Beipanjiang river watershed,as cultivated species.The seed yield per plant was greatly different among different individuals,from 2 to 4kg(45years),up to 15kg(1020years);There was also greatly difference in crude fat among different provenances and individuals;The fatty acid mainly include oleic and linoleic acid(the sum of that is 77.37%),less saturated fatty acid.
