Abstract The chemical constituents and application values of Perilla frutescen (L.) Britt. Var. acuta (Thunb.) andCelosia argentea.L Seeds.Were reported The results showed that the contens of amino acid in Celosia argentea andPerilla frutescen (L.) Britt. Var. acuta (Thunb.) seeds were abundant, the essential amino acid in these two kinds ofseeds reached 42.85% and 32.60% respectively. There were rich content of fatty oil in the seeds. The main constitutentswere palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linonic acid and linolenic acid etc. The content of its unsaturated fatty acidin these two kinds of seeds oil reached 79.276% and 91.020% respectively. The kinds of mineral elements in these twokinds of seeds were entire relatively also. The seeds and their oil were of high nutritional values, and of further valuesin exploitation and utilization.
