Abstract Rude fat from the seed of papaya was extracted by Soxhler extractor with ethyl ether as solvent according to the Chinese Standard (GB/T 14772-2008).After being derived by trimethylsilyl-esterified with N,O-bis (trimethylsily) acetamide and methyl esterification catalysed by base,the fatty components were analyzed by GC/MS.The results showed that the extracting quantity of rude fat oil was 25.5%(W/W),16 fatty acids and 3 non-glycerides were obtained.The main components were palmitic acid (26.89%),oleic acid (22.80%),β-tocopherol(vitamin E,15.29%),linoleic acid(7.21%),stearic acid(5.82%),palmitoleic acid (4.16%) and rans-squalene (4.03%).
