Abstract Artemisia sphaerocephala krasch is an important plant grown in desert regions. The seeds is rich in nutrient.Supercritical carbon dioxide fluid extraction technology on oil from the seeds indicated that the suitable pretreated condition was water content 5.3% and seed size beween 0.39~0.50 mm.Experiment of single factor and Box-Behnken determined the optimum extracting parameters as:extracting pressure 37.1 MPa,extracting temperature 51℃ and flow rate of CO_2 2.36 mL/min.Study on quality of the oil indicated that it was rich in linoleic acid and vitamin E.
