Abstract The fatty acid components of the wild carrot seed oil extracted by supercritical CO2 fluid were methylated,then isolated and identified by the capillary GC-MS method.The relative contents of the acidic constitutes were determined by the area normalizing method.Results: 9 fatty acids are identified in the wild carrot seed oil,which consist of 5 saturated fatty acids(18.73 %) and 6 unsaturated fatty acids(80.70 %).The saturated fatty acids are mainly palmitic acid(11.98 %) and stearic acid(4.10 %),while the unsaturated fatty acids are mainly linoleic acid(47.99%),oleic acid(17.52 %) and linolenic acid(13.23 %).The wild carrot seed oil is potential functional oil rich in unsaturated fatty acids.
