Abstract [Objective] To study fatty acid components in Artocarpus heterophyllus seed,provide basis for comprehensive development and utilization of seeds and fruits.[Method] With A.heterophyllus seed as study object,fat was extracted with ethyl ether refluxing extraction,and the chemical constituents of fatty acids were analyzed by means of GC-MS.[Result] The results showed that the yield rate of oil was 0.88% and the major constituents of the fatty acid which were analyzed by area normalization were linoleic acid 55.20%,palmieic acid 30.53%,linolenic acid 5.96%,stearic acid 1.81% and behenic acid 1.79%.The contents of unsaturated fatty acids were 63.56%.[Conclusion] A.heterophyllus seeds have abundant nutrition value,which will provide technical support for finding edible tropical and subtropical plant nutrition oil.
