Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract Akebia trifoliate seeds were extracted by Soxhlet extraction method to obtain its seed oil.The fatty acid compositions and physical and chemical properties of the seed oil were determined by GC-MS and national standardized methods(GB),respectively. In addition, transesterification reaction was carried out to produce biodiesel with the oil.The technical parameters were optimized by response surface methodology(RSM).The results were as follows.Five fatty acids were detected in A.trifoliate seed oil,the content of oleic acid was the highest, followed by stearic acid. The yield, water content, iodine value, acid value, saponification value, peroxide value, freezing point, flash point and cold filter plugging point of the oil was 32.76%,0.36%,67.89 g /100 g,8.85 mg KOH / g,235.03 mg KOH / g,47.08 mmol / kg,12 ℃,215 ℃,and-7 ℃,respectively. The optimal process conditions of biodiesel preparation were as follows: reaction time 80 min, methanol to oil molar ratio 6.7∶ 1,and catalyst concentration 1.3%(based on the total weight of the reaction system). In conclusion, the seeds of A.trifoliata were rich in oil,and can be used to produce biodiesel as a further development and utilization of liana oil crops.
