Studied on the main nutrition composition of the achenia of female Ficus awkeotsang W13 in Fujian Province. The main results show that the pulp of Ficus awkeotsang contain pectin 36. 29% , dietary fibre 42. 35% , total sug ar 23. 82% , protein 3. 74%, total flavonoids 3. 14% , and crude fat 2. 72%. Contents of mineral elements and vitamins are rich in the achenia. It is an ideal material for the rational exploitation and development of Ficus awkeotsang into a health food. Compared with pectin contents in achenia among 24 different female strains, the main results show that pectin content of Dayang T84 w as the highest, the differences were extremely significant. The strains that pectin content significantly higher were achenia o f W13, Xin25, Ho ng 9, Qiyuan F1.
