The chickpea from different areas were extracted with Soxhlet extraction to obtain oils.The chickpea oil was esterified by sulfuric acid-methanol and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The result showed that five fatty acids were detected,namely palmitic acid,linoleic acid,oleic acid,elaidic acid and 8,11-octadecadienoic acid.The content of unsaturated fatty acids in the oils of chickpea from different areas were all more than 80%.The chickpea has an high value and well development prospect.
