Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract Suaeda physophora Pall.is a half-shrub species belongs to Suaeda Forsk.,Chenopodiaceae.It grows in the northern piedmont of the Tianshan Mountains, marginal zone of alluvial-diluvial fans in the Emin Valley, and meadow solonchak and solonchak in some regions around salt lakes in the lower reaches of the Ulungur River in Xinjiang, and also in western Gansu Province,China.Suaeda physophora Pall.can play an important role in improving saline or alkaline soil and developing animal husbandry in Xinjiang,in which the area of saline or alkaline soil is as large as 2.18×10~7 hm~2 and occupies 22.01% of the total in China. In this study, some fatty oil(27.09%) is obtained from seeds of Suaeda physophora Pall.with solvent extraction. The composition of fatty acids and their relative contents are analyzed using GC/MS.The results show that there are ten kinds of fatty acids in seed oil of Suaeda physophora Pall.,including palmitinic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearinic acid, oleic acid, linolic acid,γ-linolenic acid,α-linolenic acid, arachidic acid,code-liver oil acid and tetracosanic acid respectively. The proportion of unsaturated fatty acids is 95.98%,in which the proportions of linolic acid, oleic acid,α+γ linolenic acid and palmitinic acid are 75.4%,13.09%,5.70% and 3.88% respectively.
