Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The fatty acid components of Sapium sebiferum seed from five different habitats: Macheng005,Dawu013,Dawu022,Dawu023 and Yingshan016,were analyzed by GC-MS methods.Decadienoic acid, hexadecanoic acid(palmitic acid),octadecadienoic acid(linoleic acid),18 carbon-triene,18 carbon single-acid(oleic acid) and octadecanoic acid(stearic acid) were the main components in the seeds.Especially for the seeds from Dawu013 and Dawu022,not only the contents of straight-chain fatty acids(less than 20-C) were high, but also the contents of alkyl acid were high up to 80.52% and 79.59%,respectively.Furthermore,the content of triene fatty acids was very low.The results indicated that sapium sebiferum seeds from Dawu013 and Dawu022 were more suitable for producing bio-diesel fuel.
