42份非木本油料植物资源的能源利用潜力评价 . Evaluation on the potential of energy utilization for 42 kinds of non-woody oil plants in China

Abstract

The oil content and fatty acid composition of the seed or tuber oil from 42 kinds of non-woody oil plants were analyzed,and the result showed that the oil content varied significantly and the chain length of fatty acids in 92.9% of the oil plants were purely in length of C16 and C18.The comprehensive evaluation of their yield,oil content,fatty acid composition and adaptability,suggested that several oil plants,such as tiger nut(Cyperus esculentus L),caper spurge(Euphorbia lathyris L)and canger(Xanthium sibiricum),would be the promising oil plants to be developed on marginal land in China as stuff for biodiesel.
