Oilseed bearing tree and shrub species in which the seeds contain >15% of fatty oil are identified and grouped into different climatic regions of India (tropical dry, tropical moist and temperate) to aid growers in selecting suitable species for raising on available agricultural, forestry, fallow or waste lands - either as a pure crop, or in combination with other species in different land husbandry programmes (farm forestry, agroforestry, social forestry, etc.).
