Abstract Gas-liquid-chromatography of cocoa butter samples from 1967/68 crops yield lower palmitic acid values than those taken from 1962 crop. It is assumed that this is due to the influence of worse climatic conditions during the last years. © 1970 J. F. Bergmann-Verlag.
