Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract Oils extracted from the achenes of Boehmeria longispica Steud., B. spicata Thunb., and B. nivea Gaud. var. concolor Makino (Urti-caceae) and those from the seeds of Tricyrtis affinis Makino and Hosta longipes Matsum. (Liliaceae) were surveyed for their charac-teristics and fatty acid composition. All the oils contained linoleic acid in high levels (80.2-83.5%) as determined by gas liquid chro-matography of the derived methyl esters. © 1981 American Oil Chemists.
