Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants.
more details ...
Seed oil content and fatty acid composition of seed lipids for 11 species in the Sapindaceae are reported. The oil ranges from 10.5 to 37.1% by weight. The 20:1 chain length pattern is the dominant fatty acid in seed lipids of all species surveyed. Variations in pattern emphasize 20:0 or 18:1 or both as the second most abundant lipid component. However, in Cupania vernalis, 16:0 and 18:1 are the main components and in Matayba elaeagnoides 18:1 and 18:2 are the main components. © 1992.
