Saussurea candicans seed oil-Alternative source of crepenynic acid

Abstract Crepenynic acid represents 33% of the constituent fatty acids of Saussurea candicans seed oil. This important acetylenic acid, after isolation by countercurrent distribution, was characterized unambiguously by derivatives and by degradative procedures. © 1974 American Oil Chemists' Society.
