7-keto-octadec-cis-11-enoic acid from Gardenia lucida seed oil

Abstract A hitherto unknown keto fatty acid has been isolated from Gardenia lucida seed oil. It has been characterized as 7-keto-octadec-cis- 11 -enoic acid based on spectrometry and chemical degradations. © 1991.
