The trans-3-enoic acids of Grindelia oxylepis seed oil

Abstract trans-3-Hexadecenoic acid (14%) and the previously unreported trans-3-octadecenoic acid (2%) have been identified in seed oil of Grindelia oxylepis Greene, Compositae. Evidence was also found for the existence of other acids with trans-3 unsaturation. © 1966 American Oil Chemists' Society.
