Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The fatty acid composition of the seed oil of Dichapetalum toxicarium was examined by GC-mass spectrometry. The presence of ω-fluoro-palmitoleic, -stearic, -linoleic, -arachidic and -eicosenoic acids was established, in addition to that of the ω-fluoro derivatives of oleic and palmitic acids previously isolated from this source. Strong evidence was also obtained for the presence of 18-fluoro-9,10-epoxystearic acid.
