Iridoid glycosides from Lathraea squamaria

Abstract

A new iridoid disaccharide, 6′-O-glucopyranosyl-melampyroside, besides the known glucosides aucubin, melampyroside and 6′-O-glucopyra- nosyl-aucubin has been isolated from the seeds of Lathraea squamaria. The structure of these compounds has been elucidated on the basis of their spectral data (1H NMR, 13C NMR, DCI-MS). β-Sitosterol was isolated and the content of six fatty acids in the seed oil was also determined. © 1993.
