Sterols and methylsterols in some tropical and subtropical vegetable oils

Abstract

Data are tabulated on the composition of the unsaponifiable fractions, especially sterols and methylsterols, of 15 vegetable oils including coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, coffee and poppy seed oils, chaulmoogra [Taraktogenos kurzii] oil, shea butter [Butyrospermum parkii], cacao butter, illipe butter [Bassia longifolia] and sal fat [Shorea robusta].
