Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants.
more details ...
The proximate analysis of A. squanosa, H. niger and H. sabdariffa seed oils and their characteristics were determined. Fatty acid composition was determined by GLC. H. niger and H. sadariffa were highly unsaturated with I values of 130.1 and 113.3 respectively, corresponding to linoleic acid contents of 64.1 and 54.0% and oleic acid contents of 24.2 and 27.9%. A squamosa had 53.4% oleic, 24.3% linoleic acid and I value 86.8.
