SAPIUM SEBIFERUM OIL AND FAT ANALYSIS BY CHROMATOGRAPHY

Abstract

The physico-chemical values of stillingia oil and tallowy fat have been determined. The fatty acid percentage-wise composition of oil and fat respectively as determined by GLC is C12 (2.2, 0.0), C14:0 (traces), C16:0 (3.8, 64:3), C16:1 (1.4, 0.0), C18:0 (1.6, 1.4), C18:0 (11.0, 28.1), C18:2 (30.0, 1.8), C18:3 (50.0, 4.2). These materials can be used for the manufacture of industrial oil and fat products.
