OCCURRENCE OF KETO, HYDROXY AND EPOXY FATTY-ACIDS IN ARGEMONE MEXICANA SEED OIL

Abstract Minor proportions of hydroxy (ca. 1%), epoxy (ca. 2%, mostly cis but possibly some trans) and keto fatty acids have been detected in fresh Argemone mexicana seed oil by employing a combination of chromatographic and spectrophotometric techniques.
