The physico-chemical characteristics and the fatty acid composition of the seed oil of Centratherum anthelminticum were examined. The oil is rich in palmitic acid (30.4%), stearic acid (11.9%), oleic acid (23.7%) and linoleic acid (19.9%). Furthermore the antimicrobial characteristics of the oil were estimated.
