Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract Free and bound sterols from oily parts of mulberry fruit have been studied. The seed oil was especially rich in sterols. The fatty acids were identified as palmitic oleic, linoleic and stearic acids. The sterol preparation composition of both fruit and seed is identical and consists of beta-sytosterol, stigmasterol, campesterol and cholesterol, beta-sytosterol being the dominant sterol.
