Abstract The seeds of I. pileata contain 6.4 wt.% of light yellow oil. It is low in unsaponifiable content and is almost non drying. The major component fatty acids of this seed oil are palmitic, oleic and linoleic. The oil has about 67% of unsatd. fatty acids.
