The seeds of D. perigrina yielded 3.2% oil having d. 0.71 (3°), saponification value 250, soap equiv. 225.6, iodine value 72.35 and unsaponified matter 0.54%. The component fatty acids of the oil were arachidic 4.84, stearic 10.36, palmitic 8.42, myristic 7.28, oleic 46.89, linoleic 15.02, and linolenic acids 9.02%. The unsaponified matter was β-amyrin.
