Abstract Of 8 solvents, hexane was the most suitable for extg. oil from kernels of seeds of Sapindus mukorossi. The oil was nondrying and had low acid value. The kernel contained ∼35% oil. The fatty acid mixt. obtained from the oil contained palmitic acid [57-10-3] 17.00, stearic acid [57-11-4] 6.00, oleic acid [112-80-1] 19.30, linoleic acid [60-33-3] 28.90, and linolenic acid [463-40-1] 26.10%
