Present investigation consists Of extraction of Carissa—carandas oil, determination Of its Physical and Chemical characteristic, evaluation of component fatty acids by liquid-solid counter current distribution of the fatty acid with urea4. Individual acids in each fraction were detected with the help of paper Chromatography. Attempt has been made to study the effect of temperature on viscosity of liquid and the variation of viscosity with temperature. On the basis of values of density, refractive index, viscosity and di-electric properties industrial applications of the oil have been determined.
