Abstract The powdered flowering plant of Pulicaria crispa (Forsk.) Benth and Hook grown in Saudi Arabia was investigated. Beta-sitosterol (0.23%) and beta-amyrin (0.1%) were isolated from the unsaponifiable matter of the light petroleum extract. From the ethereal extract, neutral triterpene, (C6H10O)n, m.p. 274-276 degrees C were isolated. From the alcoholic extract choline (0.08%) was isolated as choline reineckate and quercetin was detected.
